Kursus resuméThe extensive use of case studies in natural resource management research has created the need for researchers to clearly understand the theoretical foundation for using and researching cases. The course aims to increase the participant's understanding of and skills in designing case study research.

Kursusindhold
The theoretical foundation for case studies and other research designs will be discussed based on the participants' own cases and example articles from peer reviewed journals. Special emphasis will be put on the connection between theory and case study results.
 
Undervisningsform
The course will be based mainly on student presentations of the basic literature, case study examples, own research designs, papers, feed back and discussions in Absalon, but the participants can influence the form of the course according to their specific needs.
 
Målbeskrivelse
The learning goal is that the participants will be able to improve their own research designs, especially with regard to case studies, and thereby enhancing the quality of their research and communications.
