Course Content
Course giving an intro on the use, fate and biological effects of industrial nanoparticles in the environment. The course comprise lectures on nanotechnology and the manufacturing of nanoparticles, the toxicology of nanoparticles, nanoparticles seen from an industry point of view, nanoparticles in risk assessment and in public regulation. The lectures is accompanied by student poster and oral presentations which are all evaluated by a panel of supervisors. A third activity comprise a workshop on Ag-nanoparticles set up as a scenario comprising different stakeholders.
The course will add to the participants knowledge on nanoparticle fate and effects in the environment - which is currently a very important and hot topic within environmental chemistry, microbiology, and toxicology.
