Having completed the course, the student should have: . Advanced knowledge of endocrine diseases in cats and dogs with regard to aetiology, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis . Advanced knowledge of lower and upper urinary tract diseases in cats and dogs with regard to aetiology, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis Having completed the course, the student should be: . Familiar with the use of ultrasonography and capable of performing abdominal ultrasonographic examinations on a basic level . Familiar with CT and MRI and confident in indications for the use of the modalities including the pros and cons of the modalities | |

The purpose of this course is: To provide the student with theoretical and practical skills to perform diagnostic work up, establish prognosis and develop therapeutic strategies for the management of: 1) dogs and cats with endocrine diseases (2 days) 2) dogs and cats with upper and lower urinary tract diseases (2 days) To provide the student with hands on knowledge in the field of advanced diagnostic imaging including abdominal ultrasonography (1 day). To demonstrate the use of advanced CT and MRI in internal medicine | |
